Getting into a top gas pedal is the dream of many startups.


Y Combinator, 500 Startups, Techstars... These names sound like music to the ears of those seeking rapid growth and investment. But how does one get there? Is it really a lottery or is there a secret formula for success?

The answer is: it's a strategy with lottery elements.


While there is no guaranteed recipe, relocating to Spain and following certain guidelines greatly increases your chances. Let's go into more detail.


What does it take to succeed?

1. Idea that solves a problem:


  • Relevance: Your idea should address a real problem that people or companies face.


    • Example: In 2024, startups related to AI, Web3, green technology, cybersecurity are relevant.

  • Mentors: Find mentors with accelerator experience and ask them for advice.

  • Alumni: Connect with gas pedal alumni and learn about their experiences.
